Alternative Methods of Instruction (A.M.I.)

When we are out of school for inclement weather or emergency situations, click on your grade level for your AMI packet.

Arkansas Act 862 of 2017 allows a public school district and an open-enrollment public charter school to develop a plan for alternative methods of instruction to be used on days when the superintendent closes school due to exceptional or emergency circumstances.

When an AMI day is used, students will be asked to complete lessons based on their grade level. For example, if your student is in 7th grade, you will need to click on the Jr. High AMI packet button at the top of this page.

Students are asked to complete the lessons on each day our district was granted alternative instruction. Teachers may be sending out additional virtual instructions to students through their respective electronic resources when available. Your child should complete one day of activities for each of the days missed. Please see your student's corresponding grade button at the top of this page for links to those activities. Students have up to 5 days after the AMI day to complete the online work or turn in the paper packet of work where applicable.

If you have questions about AMI days, you may call or email your child's teacher or principal.
