The West Memphis School District is thrilled to announce significant academic momentum with the release of the latest Arkansas School Letter Grades. Thanks to the relentless dedication of our educators, the resilience of our students, and the steady support of our families, our district has achieved remarkable growth.
Here are the key highlights of our collective success:
· Higher Overall Ratings: Our district earned a C grade for the first time in history
· Level 2 Support
· Every building improved their overall score
· 7 of the 9 campuses increased their letter grade by 1 level or more
· 99.1% of district students were tested.
Five of our schools received Gem School designation for outstanding achievement, growth, content-area performance, or sustained improvement. This recognition reflects the hard work of students, teachers, school leaders, families, and the broader school community. Arkansas Gem Schools represent excellence in student achievement and growth.

· Maddux Elementary – Growth by Content Area - Mathematics
· Academies of West Memphis High School – Growth of All – Top 5%
· Academies of West Memphis High School – Growth by Content Area - ELA
· Weaver Elementary – Sustained Improvement

The Academies of West Memphis also received a monetary gift of $76,868.12 from the state. This data evaluates critical metrics like raw academic achievement, student growth benchmarks, and college and career readiness. While we celebrate these milestones, our work is never truly finished. We will continue investing heavily in targeted academic interventions, professional coaching for teachers, and robust support systems to keep this momentum going.
